Draco finally realizes how evil Voldemort really is. He also realizes how delusional he himself has been. He finally brooks his initial prejudice against Harry’s belligerent refusal of friendship and Harry. He also gets saved by Harry, when they so clearly hate each other.
The Malfoys want the battle to cease so they will know what happened to their son Draco. Narcissa lied because she wants the war to end and she knows that Harry is the only one who can end it. Thus, she save Harry from Voldemort because Harry said that Draco is in the castle, it’s like a thanks giving for Harry.
Draco did help save Harry, Ron, and Hermione by not identifying them to Death Eaters, which is a huge moment, but the most stand-out moment is when Draco is supposed to end Dumbledore’s life. Planned all along by Snape and Dumbledore or not, Draco could not find it in himself to end a life.
When Voldemort asked her to check if Harry was dead and she realised he was, in fact, still breathing, Narcissa seized her opportunity. Narcissa may have concealed the truth from Voldemort to save her son, but she inadvertently helped Harry to victory in doing so.
She asked him because if Draco was still alive, she had something to fight for. She had a reason to lie to Voldemort. If Draco is alive, she needs to get into the school to see him and protect him, and helping Harry feign death was the easiest way to do that. But if Draco was already dead, she wouldn’t have bothered.
