“The Death of Naruto” (ナルト死す, Naruto Shisu) is episode 165 of the original Naruto anime.
Despite rumors of his demise, Naruto has been a star in the sequel manga Boruto. But the cause of his eventual death may have been revealed. Warning! Spoilers for Boruto chapter 65 ahead!
The arc of The Fourth Shinobi War, in Naruto #640-677, sees Obito Uchiha effectively kill Naruto, by separating Naruto from Kurama. Through a series of complicated chakra manipulations, a dying and reformed Obito is forced to use his powers of resurrection to revive the big-bad, Madara Uchiha, into a physical body.
Luckily for fans in Indonesia and abroad, Naruto did not end up dying. Instead, Kurama sacrificed his life in this battle to keep Isshiki at bay, and Naruto did survive the beast’s exit. Naruto is in a whole new world without Kurama, so the Hokage needs to figure out how to live life without his tenant.
