Light begs for his life, but Ryuk reminds him that he was always destined to be killed by Ryuk. He then tells Light that humans do not go to heaven or hell, but to Mu (nothingness). Light then dies from a heart attack.
The appearance of L in front of him seemed to have been intended to regard the memories of the friendship between the two back in the first arc of the Death Note storyline. As well, it could also imply that L was Light’s friend and he wasn’t going to let him die alone, implying the motives of an afterlife.
Several years after Light’s death, however, it is revealed in the sequel film Death Note: Light Up the New World that Light secretly had a son, Hikari Yagami (夜神光 Yagami Hikari), who was expected to inherit a Death Note and carry on Kira’s legacy.
That’s why Ryuk didn’t die when he write Light’s name in the deathnote. actually its because rem liked misa and that ryuk had no feelings for light, and rem used the death note to prolong misa’s life, while shinigami are supposed to shorten life.
Light claims that after so many years of being Kira, he is finally tired of a life of killing others. Ryuk agrees to Light’s request, and so Ryuk writes Light’s name in his Death Note and Light dies. Straight after Light’s death, Light wakes up in a mysterious valley and is no longer an old man.

Ryuk informs Light that humans who have used the Death Note are unable to enter either Heaven or Hell and shows Light his name written in the notebook. Light yells at Ryuk and jumps through him, trying in vain to stop his death, before dying in his father’s arms.
L LawlietHis real name, L Lawliet, is only revealed in the guidebook Death Note 13: How to Read.
No he did not think of L as a friend (beside when he lost his memories). Light was trying to make L think he was not kira and also light tried killing L. i’m pretty sure he would of killed L if he would not be seen as suspicious if he did.
8 L Knew Light Was Kira And Lied Throughout the anime, L’s suspicion of Light wavers from episode to episode. Generally, though, he says there’s about a 5% chance that Light is Kira. Well, most anime fans can catch onto the fact that L probably lied to assuage Light’s concerns.
Shinigami Eyes (死神の目, shinigami no me), also known as Shinigami Eyeballs or Eyes of the Shinigami, are eyes that can see both the names and lifespans of humans floating above their heads.
For L’s name, he wanted to use a single letter with a lot of significance, he considered “I” and “J”, but eventually he chose “L” after careful consideration. Ohba left most of L’s character design to Takeshi Obata, artist of the series. Obata asked Ohba if L could be “unattractive”.
Type of Villain Ryuk is the deuteragonist of the anime/manga series Death Note. He was the one who inadvertently gave Light Yagami the Death Note and instigated his killing spree. He would later become the main antagonist of the one shot special chapter, set after the events of the original series.
Yea, L did love Light, but not in a romantic way. He liked the competition, level of thinking, and someone who could give him a kick.
Before the heart attack he was saying that he was going to test the notebook and how, because testing the notebook would have led him to proving Light and Misa were Kira and second Kira. He finally had the notebook and intended to build a real case against a Light.
Whenever Light thinks to himself while in Kira mode, his eyes glow red to give an evil context to the viewer. When he’s revealed to be Kira in the warehouse, he no longer has to hide from the group, he enters Kira mode and his eyes turn red as a result. It’s said that eyes are the window to the soul.
Light was good, but he was misguided. He thought that killing ‘bad’ people would fix the world, but it wont. No one was there to tell him that the method he was following was wrong, and hence he was under the pretense that what he was doing was good and that he needed to make a more sincere and greater effort.
