And decided on doing the film.
Directed by James Mangold, the R-rated and Academy Award-nominated Logan proved to be the final time Hugh Jackman portrayed the Wolverine, which was the role that made him world-famous thanks to the X-Men movie franchise.
As per reports, Marvel has roped in Hugh Jackman to return as ‘Wolverine’ in the upcoming MCU film, Dr. Strange 2, which has Benedict Cumberbatch. But to have Wolverine back, especially in the MCU, will be a big, big plus for Marvel head Kevin Feige.

In a 2019 interview with The Playlist, James Mangold reaffirmed he was very interested in making an X-23 movie, but doubted it would happen “in the near future.” The existence of a Laura solo movie within the MCU could possibly be explained via alternate timelines or universes, but there has been no talk of the spinoff
Like having a skeleton coated in lead, the metal leeches into Logan’s body over time. It takes years to have a major effect, but by 2029, the year “Logan” is set, the adamantium has so weakened Logan that he’s aging at a normal rate and struggling to heal himself after injuries.
They genetically modified corn syrup that is in everything has mutant power dampening capabilities which is why there has been no mutants naturally born in such a long time. Logan is weak because his healing factor has been almost totally eliminated by the GMO’s but he still has an adamantium skeleton and adamantium is
Scott Eastwood transforms into Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor in a cool concept design for the MCU movies. Now that Disney has its hands on Fox’s various properties, including the X-Men, it’s only a matter of time before Wolverine is folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Iron Man’s recent research confirmed that Logan is actually Laura’s biological father, rather than just being a female clone of Logan. After Logan’s death, Laura officially adopts his codename of ‘Wolverine’ to honor his memory.
From one Australian actor to another. New artwork imagines Dacre Montgomery as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Hugh Jackman officially hung up his Wolverine claws in 2017 with Logan.
Major spoilers for Logan follow. First, he’s nearly 200 years old, and like Xavier he is simply reaching the end of his natural life.
Logan. After Gabriela was killed by the Reavers, Laura ended up in the company of Logan and Charles Xavier on the run. As they headed north, they were constantly dogged by the Reavers and also X-24, which resulted in Xavier’s death.
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) was losing his mutant healing power in Logan because, ironically, he was poisoned for decades by the Adamantium coating his bones and claws, which ultimately lead to his tragic death.
They are both fictional metals in the Marvel comics universe, with vibranium until now only featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and adamantium on featured in the Marvel Fox Studios X-Men movies. I would suggest the defining difference is that adamantium is a manufactured alloy and vibranium is a natural metal.
The mutation that makes Wolverine worthy of the X-Men is that his cells regenerate at incredible speeds. He ages at a snail’s pace, he can re-grow parts of limbs and organs after serious injury, and he is basically impervious to infection and disease.
It is revealed later that she is not a clone, but biological daughter of Wolverine. Like her father, Laura has a regenerative healing factor and enhanced senses, speed, and reflexes. She also has retractable adamantium-coated bone claws in her hands and feet.
Kate Howlett was the child of Wolverine and Jean Grey.
The last advice he gives her before dying is “Don’t be what they made you.” His last words before he dies are “Ah, so this is what it feels like” in response to Laura calling him daddy first time in the movie as well as listening these words for the first time(in movies) from his own (Technically) daughter.
SeleneSelene is the oldest known human mutant.
In Logan, the 90-plus-year-old Charles Xavier is dying from a degenerative brain disease.
Wolverine Was Resurrected by The ‘Queen of The Dead’ To reanimate the dead, as either mindless bodies for her to pilot telepathically, or semi-automated drones she could restore to convincing recreations of the people they were before they died.
Jackman reportedly didn’t want to play Wolverine anymore because he was getting too old for the part (he’s 52, and required to be absolutely shredded every time he puts on the claws).
Adamantium Beta is a result of Wolverine’s healing factor altering the molecular structure of the metal so that it acts as a part of his body. This allows him to regenerate adamantium parts, and prevents the adamantium from interfering with his body’s processes (such as his bone marrow and healing).
Magnets. Wolverine’s biggest strength–his metal skeleton–also leads to his key weakness: magnets. From the movies and the comic books we know that Logan is extremely vulnerable to magnetic fields, as Magneto can twist and toss him as he pleases with a mutant ability to control magnetic fields.
Unlike adamantum, Magneto cannot manipulate vibranium – not if it’s pure. Vibranium is a rare, extraterrestrial metallic ore. It has near-mystical properties that allow for energy manipulation and more. There is a Wakandan isotope and an Antarctic isotope, and both of them are completely unaffected by Magneto’s powers.
Adamantium is stronger than vibranium. All of the special things vibranium can do means nothing. Adamantium is known to be “virtually indestructible,” while vibranium is not. Adamantium is so strong, it can’t even cut itself.
All theoretical talk aside, Disney is unlikely to make New Mutants 2. With New Mutants only projected to open with $10 million at the U.S. box office, it will have to perform much better internationally just to break even.
