Dennis and the rest of the band parted ways just after the release of 1999’s “Brave New World” their first full album of new material since 1983. Since then, Dennis has released a coupe of live albums and 2007’s “One Hundred Years From Now.”
Finally after recording the platinum concept album “Kilroy Was Here” Shaw decided he had enough, and left the band. However in 1999 the band had once again had enough of Dennis DeYoung’s love of broadway and dramatic sounds in his music. This would be the last time DeYoung is called a member of Styx.
