When it comes to their love interests, Woody has been in love with Bo Peep since the first movie. In Toy Story 3, Buzz Lightyear finally confesses his love for Jessie with his “spanish mode.” Since they met, though, Woody and Jessie have a sibling-like relationship.
A news article on the wall indicates that Al’s Toy Barn has gone bankrupt, and it is implied he lives at his mother’s house. This may not be canon however, since as indicated above, he still has the address of his store in the final film.
His beloved toy is now out on the road and he’ll likely never see him again. Don’t forget, Andy wanted to take Woody to college, so he had every intention of keeping him, continuing to love him and probably passing Woody on as a goldarned family heirloom.
In the final cut of the sequel shown in cinemas, fans came away with the mantra that “life without a kid is better for a toy” when Woody made the decision to leave behind his longtime companions in Bonnie’s room, choosing instead to live without an owner on the road with the love of his life, Bo Peep.
Bonnie Anderson is a secondary character in Toy Story 3, Toy Story 4, Toy Story Toons, Toy Story of Terror! and Toy Story That Time Forgot, and is the current owner of Andy’s toys.
