Method 4. Restore from Your TrashOpen your Google Drive website. When the page opens up, locate the missing file from your drive.Once you find the file, right-click on it. Then, select the Restore option to get the file back.
For files, if the file or files have been removed from the Google Drive Trash, the files may be gone forever but there may still be a small window of time to recover files by contacting a Drive Specialist.
Simply navigate into the trash, do a quick search for any missing Google Drive documents or files and see if your desired item turns up. If so, just select the checkbox next to the trashed item(s) and then click the Restore button at the top of the page. No muss, no fuss.
If you created a file in Drive and can’t find it, it may be orphaned. An orphaned file might have lost all of its parent folders. The file still exists but is harder to find. You create a file in someone else’s folder.
